This is very interesting to look at. I wonder how it felt to be in the space with this installation. I enjoy the red thread sewn into the fabric. It reminds me of a wound bleeding.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure what this was at first, although I like it a lot, especially with the billowy shape swelling out of the wall. The red lines look like a red fluid (blood or fake blood/cherry syrup) splattered everywhere and radiating from a single point, but looking closer, I can see that they're threads of some sort. The straggly-ness reminds me of saffron, actually, and though I'm not sure what your concept is, the transition from blood to thread to a very expensive spice presents a very interesting idea by itself.
