I feel like this piece is a fantastic comment on the nature of femininity. The way that these very personal, private feminine items are locked up inside a cage presents some very powerful imagery. The fact that there is a face locked up seems to be about a locked up, "hidden" sense of self that is kept tamed. I'd be interested to hear your thought process in creating the piece!
