Small World Results

Korinne Thoren

Home is a reaching term that carries many different meanings dependent on one’s culture, beliefs or location in the world. Regardless of what home may be, each throughout the spectrum is rich with history. In this piece I hope to convey the complex intertwining of relationships that homes bring us—relationships of people, places, and memories. No one home can be singular and untouched because its history will always be entangled with the influences of others. Regardless of where we go, roots will sprout and begin intermingling with others.

  1. I am having trouble finding a connection of what the container it is placed in might have to the meaning of this work. That is if you are intending it to matter .Maybe a statement might bring more clarity. I do like how the homes are taking root and the idea of when we buy a home we are "setting down roots" as one might say. When we move into a home we are placing ourselves there to grow and take root. i guess that is what I am getting from this.
